In addition the behaviour of DNA within the postmortem environment is yet to be described. These form the two main questions that I am currently asking in my PhD. This is of importance because human teeth are scarce and valued resources to multiple fields. My aim is to be able to sample the smallest amount of tooth that will provide the best results, while inflicting the minimum physical damage.
